Vegan Cherry Nice Cream

Vegan Cherry Nice Cream
This sweet cherry dessert is a favorite in our home. We have been preparing this version of vegan ice cream made with frozen fruit, or “nice cream”, for several years now, and keep coming back to it. It’s especially delicious during warm weather for a cool treat.

Vegan cherry nice cream really satisfies our sweet tooth. Cherries are packed full of health benefits too, being rich in antioxidants and a good source of vitamin C.

Vegan, gluten-free

Serves 3 to 4

Ingredients:

  • 1 10 oz bags frozen organic pitted cherries
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 4 oz pitted dates

Directions:

  • Add ingredients to blender. Note: a high-powered blender such as a Vitamix will provide best results.
  • Blend until smooth.

This dessert has appeared at many family celebrations and it’s always a hit! It’s sweet yet tart, creamy, and offers a variety of options to change it up with various toppings. Some of our favorites include blueberries, chia seeds, coconut shreds, and dark chocolate chips. You can also use different frozen fruit as your base. In addition the well-known banana nice cream, we have tried cantaloupe, pineapple, and blueberry, all of which are delicious.
