If you want to deepen your own meditative and Ayurvedic practices and be able to share these powerful teachings with friends, family and your larger community, the Chopra Center Perfect Health: Ayurvedic Lifestyle Online Enrichment Program is an in depth teacher training that was designed just for you. Completion of the Enrichment Program is a prerequisite for the Perfect Health: Ayurvedic Lifestyle Online Certification Program where you join our global network of more than 2,500 Chopra Center certified instructors.
You may decide to enroll in this program alone or advance on to complete the Certification Program. The Enrichment Program is comprised of video-based and interactive learning sessions delivered through the Chopra Center’s online learning platform over the span of several months. Participants will learn about the origins and principles of Ayurveda, mind-body constitutions, Ayurvedic nutrition and herbs, detoxification, emotional well-being, basic anatomy and physiology, breathing techniques, mindful movement, aromatherapy, philosophy, meditation, and Sanskrit study. Participants will also explore scientific research on mind-body medicine and learn how to use and benefit from the practices of Ayurveda in their daily lives. Sessions will include guided meditations, yoga and advanced pranayama practices, reflection questions, student frequently asked questions, interactive groups, resources, and live Q&A calls. Each session includes content in video, audio, and/or written formats.
Highly Interactive Distance Learning with Community Discussion Forums
At the start of the scheduled teacher training, there will be community forums for participants to interact with each other and communicate with Chopra Center staff and instructors. These forums are a way to create community among all the participants worldwide. The community forums will be open and active for the duration of the Enrichment Program.
Lifetime Access to a Closed Facebook Group
As part of your registration for this teacher training program, you will be invited to join a closed Facebook group of your peers and instructors. A link to the Facebook group page will be included in the registration confirmation email, and participants can join before the scheduled start date of the course. This page serves as a teaching and community building tool where deep connections are made and sustained. We encourage participants to connect with one another through this group.
Live Q&A Calls
Each session in the training will include one to two live Q&A calls. The live Q&A calls are an opportunity for participants to ask the primary educators teaching a session questions about the content within that session. Participants will be asked to post questions in the community forum before each of the scheduled live calls. The live Q&A calls are generally scheduled on a specific weekday at 10 am (Pacific time). However, please note that live Q&A calls may be scheduled at other times and days. A schedule with the teleconference instructions will be provided via email before the start of the teacher training. Live calls are recorded and can be accessed online after each of the scheduled calls.
Basic Technical Requirements
The basic equipment needed for the online course is a computer or mobile device, internet access, microphone, speakers, and web camera. The live Q&A calls can also be accessed by phone.
