Q. Why was the Perfect Health Online Teacher Training created?

A. The Perfect Health: Ayurvedic Lifestyle teacher training certification program is the Chopra Center’s foundational teacher training in the principles and practices of Ayurveda and mind-body health. For more than 15 years, participants from throughout the world have traveled to the Chopra Center to attend this renowned program and share these transformational teachings with their own communities. We wanted to make this program available in an online format so that as many people as possible can easily experience the benefits of Ayurveda and integrative health care. We remain dedicated to supporting a global audience at the highest possible level, and maintaining our role as a recognized leader in the field of mind-body medicine.

Q. What is the Perfect Health Online Teacher Training?

A. Established by Chopra Center co-founders, Deepak Chopra M.D. and David Simon, M.D., the Perfect Health certification program is an intensive immersion in Ayurveda and Vedanta, a timeless philosophy for living in balance and moving from constriction to expansion.

The training is comprised of sessions that include video, audio, and written materials; Q&A webinars with instructors; guided meditations; yoga and pranayama practices; reflection questions; student frequently asked questions; downloadable resources; interactive groups; and community discussion forums for participants to interact with each other and with instructors.

During the course, you will cultivate your own daily practices as you learn how to share the wisdom and practical tools of Ayurveda with your community. As a certified instructor, you will be qualified to teach the beautifully designed five-lesson process of the Chopra Center’s signature Perfect Health program, which leads people sequentially through the foundation and practical application of mind-body health and Ayurveda. You will be able to set up, market, and teach sessions and classes in a manner and frequency that works with your schedule.

The course is divided into two tracks: the Enrichment Track, for those participants who want to deepen their understanding of Ayurveda but who do not want to complete the requirements and the testing and evaluations required to become a certified instructor; and the Certification Track, which includes the Enrichment Track and additional in-depth sessions that will enable you to become a certified Perfect Health: Ayurvedic Lifestyle instructor.

Q. Are there any requirements for the Perfect Health Online Teacher Training?

Participants who choose to become certified instructors also need to establish a twice-daily practice of the Primordial Sound Meditation technique upon enrollment of the scheduled teacher training. Participants need to start reading the required books and create time in their schedules to participate in Ayurvedic practices and stay engaged during the scheduled course. In addition, those becoming certified instructors are required to attend the Chopra Center’s Perfect Health live 6-day program within 12 months of starting the online teacher training. Special package pricing is available for anyone who has not already attended a Perfect Health program and needs to as part of their teacher training enrollment.
