Sessions 1 and 2: Introduction
Meet your teachers, learn how to join and participate in private discussion groups, and get an introduction to the origins and core principles of the personalized healing system of Ayurveda, consciousness, and how to use both to gain insight into who you are and understand your place in the universe.
Sessions 3 and 4: Essential Concepts of Ayurveda
Learn the foundations of Ayurveda’s personalized wellness system, including the mind-body principles (doshas), physiology and digestion, detoxification, and health. Then delve into the distinct sub-categories of each dosha, and how they carry out their specific functions to help you achieve perfect health.
Sessions 5-7: Essential Well-being practices
Explore the profound benefits of meditation for your physical health, emotional well-being, and spiritual awakening, and learn to lead a group meditation—with downloadable scripts and audio from Deepak. Then learn about the ancient practice of conscious breathing, pranayama, and discover the power of mindful movement.
Sessions 8-10: Perfect Health Class - Lessons 1-3
You’ll begin by learning to teach the foundations of Ayurveda in Perfect Health: Ayurvedic Lifestyle in Lesson 1, including an introduction and exploration of the doshas. Learn to teach Lesson 2, covering digestion and eating with awareness. Finally, learn to teach Lesson 3, which includes helping others to understand their core emotional needs, the nature of emotions, conscious communications, and more.
Sessions 11-12 Perfect Health Class - Lessons 4-5
These sessions will guide you in teaching Lesson 4 of the Perfect Health: Ayurvedic Lifestyle, including an introduction to healing through the senses and an in-depth exploration of the healing power of sound, touch, sight, taste, and smell. Then you’ll learn to teach students how to create a routine that works for them in Lesson 5, and you’ll be guided on how to instruct a variety of Ayurvedic practices, such as neti pot and nasya, tongue cleaning, and Abhyanga self-massage.
Sessions 13 and 14: Daily Ayurvedic Practices
Review the course's key principles and focus on how you will continue to integrate these rich teachings in your life. If you’re starting the Certification Program, you will get to see a preview of what is ahead. You’ll also be directed to daily recommended Ayurvedic practices, including guided meditations, pranayama techniques, and yoga practices.

She earned her M.D. at the University of Wisconsin Medical School and completed her residency in family medicine at the Ventura County Medical Center in Southern California. For more than a decade, she practiced full-spectrum family medicine, from prenatal care and deliveries to ER coverage and primary care for all ages.
Dr. Suhas Kshirsagar is a world-renowned Ayurvedic physician and medical astrologer from a family of traditional Vedic healers in India. He holds a B.A. in Ayurvedic medicine and completed a three-year residency as an M.D. (doctorate in Ayurvedic internal medicine) at the prestigious Pune University in India.
Dr. Valencia Porter is a leader in Integrative, Preventive, and Environmental Medicine, combining ancient wisdom traditions such as Ayurvedic Medicine with modern science. Double-Board Certified in General Preventive Medicine and Integrative Medicine, she has been a part of the Chopra medical team for the past decade, providing integrative medical consultations and teaching health professionals and the community how to achieve total mind, body, spirit health.
Mona Saint, M.D., M.P.H.
Born in Liverpool, England, Roger Gabriel spent his formative years in the United Kingdom and first learned meditation there in the early 1970s. It instantly became his passion and he soon trained to be a meditation teacher under Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.
Manjula Nadarajah is an educator at Chopra, certified in Primordial Sound Meditation and Perfect Health: Ayurvedic Lifestyle. Through an inspiring and transformational journey, Manjula left her successful international corporate career in 2008 to follow her true purpose.
