Hello, I’m
Jessie Quinn

Writer, Artist, and Reiki Master

Jessie Quinn is a journalist, artist, and certified Reiki Master Teacher who explores the power of creativity and how artistic expression and well-being intersect.

She began her writing career as a beauty editor, which quickly led her to cover health and wellness after discovering how much of beauty comes from within. Today, she writes across the beauty, wellness, fashion, entertainment, DIY, and lifestyle categories, and her words are published in NYLON Magazine, Forbes, Brit + Co, StyleCaster, Byrdie, Bustle, The Sunday Edit, and more.

When she is not writing and holding space for her Reiki clients, Jessie rejuvenates her mind and cleanses her energy through art. Some of her creative rituals include pottery, crochet, weaving, papier-mâché, and jewelry-making. In addition to her own creativity, Jessie gives back to the writing community as a volunteer mentor at WriteGirl , a Los Angeles-based organization that empowers teen girls through creative writing.

Currently, she is working on completing her meditation teacher certification through Chopra. You can learn more about Jessie’s work and endeavors at .

How to Manifest Your Intentions With Reiki

Manifestation is all about calling something into your life through your energetic actions. And, Reiki is all about tapping into universal life force energy and channeling those vibrations for your highest good — or the highest good of others. Because both practices are energetic by nature, they are a great combination for not only setting intentions but bringing those intentions to fruition.

Good Energy Eats: 9 High Vibrational Foods to Add to Your Plate in Winter

If you’re looking for a way to increase your energy and vitality this cold weather season, look no further than high vibrational foods. Everything on Earth has a vibration because it is made up of energy. However, when we say high vibrational foods, we mean “foods that are closest to their natural form and carry the energy of the Earth and the Sun,” explains Serena Poon, a celebrity chef, certified nutritionist, and Reiki Master. With that in mind, Poon adds that “plants are the closest thing to pure energy that humans can consume” and “the more plants you eat, the more you can feel your vibration lift.”

How to Create a New Year’s Intention Candle

In many ways, New Year’s resolutions are ritualistic. They invite us to get grounded and go inward to ask ourselves what it is we want to call into our lives, plus what healthy habits or practices we might use to do so. With 2022 right around the corner, many of us might be experiencing a more reflective state of mind and gearing up to set some intentions for what’s to come in the new year. No matter what you wish to call in, intention candles can help amplify the energy of your New Year’s intentions.

Art as Meditation: How Pottery Can Strengthen Your Mind-Body Connection

There are many ways to bring in the benefits of meditation to everyday life, in addition to a daily practice within. One way is through creating art. Art offers us a deeper connection to ourselves and the inspiration that leads us to our creations sparks greater awareness, too. Art is a powerful vehicle for active meditation because it invites us to experience new levels of acceptance as we express our past, present, and future selves through the creative process.
